Picture it:  2012.  A coffee shop job interview.  She needed help.  He was available.  And they both decided to take the gamble.

 

The result:  a perfect pairing of east meets west, sense and sensibility, hustle and flow – with combined total of 40 years of industry experience. This is Silverberg/Harris Casting.

Alyson Silverberg was 14 years old, growing up in Shelton, CT, when she asked the curious question… how did that actor get that part?   And she hasn’t looked back since.   Arriving in Los Angeles soon after college, she landed the assistant to Sharon Klien and Patrick Rush and that job sealed the deal for a life in the industry.  Eventually branching off on her own,  she spent some amazing years partnered with Marisa Ross, until life and family took Marisa to another state.  This gave Alyson a chance for her next adventure and she met with Jonathan — and they have worked together ever since.  

Jonathan Clay Harris was born and raised in Laguna, CA, and the ‘biz’ was not his first calling.  After a brief stint at business school, his interest in photography and art pulled him closer to Hollywood and closer to the entertainment industry — where the inevitable happened: he was offered a job working in casting.  But it was Jonathan’s time working for David Rapaport that made casting television shows click.  He realized he was able to combine his business sense and creative flare and turn it into a career.  When it was time to make the next step, he took that coffee shop meeting with Alyson, and worked for her until they eventually decided it was time to become partners.

 

Together they have worked on everything from feature films to acclaimed television shows (including a #1 cable TV hit, as well as a Golden Globe winning lead!) — but they both humbly live by this motto:
